Environmental Policy

LB Furniture Industries takes seriously our responsibility to protect the environment in which we work and live. We conduct our business in accordance with all legal requirements and ethical responsibilities, using scientific knowledge, technical innovation and sound environmental management practices. In addition, we strive to utilize natural resources efficiently, continuously seeking ways to reduce our requirements and maximize the utilization of recovered materials in the products we manufacture and use.

We minimize the generation of discharges to the environment, including air emissions, wastewater and solid waste and proactively assist our customers in addressing environmental issues related to their use of our products.

We are active in our cooperative efforts with public and governmental organizations to seek responsible solutions to environmental needs and to develop effective and balanced environmental standards. We are sensitive to environmental issues throughout our business systems, including our selection of materials, processes and products.

Policy support programs are in place to ensure full compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations, to instill in all levels of our organization a keen sense of responsibility and accountability for following sound environmental practices and to support the use of new scientific knowledge relating to environmental matters and implement when appropriate new technologies to improve our environmental performance.

We will and have designed evaluation procedures for all processes that fall under this policy to ensure that these processes comply.

We will and have developed a Hazardous Waste Management Plan and Safety Program with specific target goals.
