Spring Seat with Fully Upholstered Apron and Hardwood Veneer Back Panel

All hardwood frame with mortise and tenon joints that are glued, screwed and reinforced with corner blocks that are glued and screwed.

A hardwood U-style brace is attached with wood screws and 1/2" x 11/4" x 2" steel corner braces for additional joint strength, to avoid chair frame loosening over time.

The rear legs are attached with four 5/16" x 2" lag bolts.

Spring seat consists of five 9-gauge springs, covered with a burlap-type fabric with a pre-flex edging around the top of the seat edge for protection. Two Flexilator paper-wrapped spring wires are used to tie the springs together, making the springs durable—with no squeaking.

Foam seat is one piece of 1865 CM high-density foam cut to fit seat, with another piece of 1865 CM high-density foam 1/2" larger laid on top to create a smooth edge and added seat comfort.

The seat apron is 1/4" 1030 CM soft foam with an upholstered pullover seat. All foam is CAL 117-rated, with CAL 133 available on request.

The seat construction consists of a 1/2" hard board seat panel with a piece of 11/2" 1865 CM high-density foam cut 3/4" larger than the seat panel to give a smooth upholstered edge to the pad style upholstered seat.

Seat attached with five 1" x 1" steel angle brackets and wood screws.

The inside back has one piece of 1" 1030 CM soft foam for back lean comfort, trimmed with a gimp double welt.

The outside back has one piece of 1/4" 1030 CM soft foam, upholstered and trimmed with a gimp double welt.
